Irene Klinglmair (*1976)

After finishing my education in culture and conference management, I was responsible for organisational activities in different industrial sectors. I spent a year in Rome and became fluent in Italian, allowing me to provide tours in this language today.
After three years of working as a radio journalist, I worked for the 2005 season in event management for the Provincial Gardening Show in Bad Hall. There I was responsible for the press and coordination of all tours. I then became an assistant to the commercial management of Linz, the European Capital City of Culture in 2009.

I have been an independent tourist guide/official austriaguide since 2004.

I live in my home city of Steyr, am married and have a son. My role as a tourist guide
is something that comes most naturally to me: History, culture, travel and the study of foreign languages play very important roles in my life. The natural and cultural variety
of the region in which we live is an essential and valuable part of our family life.
